Biography of Vijay Devarakonda
Govardhan (Vijay Devarakonda) is a young man who carries the responsibilities of a grandmother in a middle-class joint family with older brothers, sisters and their children. Sticks to bonds in a middle class family. Indu (Mrunal Thakur) who does research at Central University comes into life while living on her salary. Hurt by Indu’s act, Vijay Devarakonda insults her and beats her. How did this come into Govardhan’s life? How did this hurt Govardhan’s family? Why did this come into their lives? When Vijay Devarakonda, who joined a real estate company, went to work on a project in America, why did Indu also go there? What happened between Indu and Govardhan in America? Has Govardhan forgiven this? If sorry.. what kind of things happened between them? Did he prove that what he did was wrong? Or did he admit that he was wrong? The story of the movie The Family Star is the answer to the questions of how the love between them got resolved.
The story is going to be entertaining as the fun way will show the aspects of the middle class youth shouldering the responsibilities to protect his family. But due to the lack of feel good factor, the scenes here and there in the first half feel very slow and routine. Vijay’s acting in the first half, both the fights are well designed to appeal to all sections of the audience. The first half ends with the turning point of the story.
When it comes to the second half, the story starts in America with a twist. Tit-for-tat type scenes between Vijay Devarakonda and Mrinal are interesting. A scene with Govardhan’s character in the club scene in America was created fun. The story moves with good vigor till the pre-climax. The lack of a strong conflict towards the climax makes the movie end in a routine manner. Another negative aspect of this movie is that the music and songs are minus.

When it comes to the actors, except for the roles of Vijay Devarakonda and Mrinal, no other character seems to be elevated anywhere. Vijay carried the entire film on his shoulders and presented it with a one man show. Vijay Deverakonda’s acting looks better and matured compared to previous movies. He appeared new with fights and dances. His gestures in emotional scenes and comedy scenes are good. There is no scope to perform Mrinal’s role. Appearing with a single expression, she seems to have underutilized her talent. The acting of Jagapathi Babu, Achyut Kumar, Vennela Kishore and others can only be said to be limited.
When it comes to technical aspects.. cinematography, action choreography, editing aspects are positive aspects of this movie. There are two types of shades in the story i.e. middle class environment, rich ambience in America is well dealt by KV Mohanan. Songs, their placement is not right. Rolling title of a super hit song is disappointing. Production values are rich.
About Family Star movie
The Family Star is a movie made by combining family values, love and fun. Vijay Devarakonda and Mrinal’s acting is the strength of the movie. It has to be said that the chemistry between Govardhan and Indu’s characters has not worked out. Sounds like an experiment with a weak story. The middle class family, especially the family audience has a lot to connect with. If they are connected then the success range of the film will increase. Audiences who go for Vijay Deverakonda will not be disappointed. Family Star is a thoroughly clean entertainer. Feels good. Don’t miss this movie in theatres.
